First thoughts only — I have not filmed this cam. Public Reolink specs and outdoor-cam context, not a porch week from me.
Worth a look if you want 4K dual-lens coverage and local AI without a monthly fee. Reolink says no sub required for local recording and AI.
Paper stack: stitched ~180° FOV, ColorX, Wi-Fi 6, solar-panel compatible, microSD. I cannot grade night, alerts, or solar runtime yet — check the live listing.
Quick take
First thoughts only. I have not filmed this cam. This is what buyers should know from Reolink’s public specs and outdoor-cam context — not a porch week from me.
Worth a look if you want 4K dual-lens coverage and local AI without a monthly fee.
Real win on paper: stitched ~180° FOV, ColorX color night claim, Wi-Fi 6, solar-panel compatible, microSD local storage, person/vehicle/animal AI with no sub required for local/AI (Reolink).
Real limit: I cannot grade night, false alerts, or solar runtime until I put one on the farm. Price moves — check the live listing.

What the public specs say
Reolink pitches Argus 4 Pro as a 4K dual-lens cam with a stitched field of view around 180°. Spec, not a tape measure I ran.
ColorX color night vision is on the spec sheet. Spec, not a night grade I shot.

Wi-Fi 6. 5000mAh battery. Compatible with Reolink Solar Panel 2 (6W). Spec, not a sun-log I kept.
Local storage: microSD up to 512GB. Person / vehicle / animal AI. Reolink says no subscription required for local recording and that AI. Spec / brand claim — not my alert log.
MSRP shows up differently across Reolink blog and bundle pages. Never lock a number here. Check the live listing.
Fees and storage
If you hate subscriptions, the headline is local microSD + AI without a required sub (Reolink). Cloud is optional if you want it — confirm current plan language on Reolink before you buy.
I have not stress-tested alert accuracy or offline behavior.
Power and solar
5000mAh battery plus Solar Panel 2 (6W) compatibility is the wire-free pitch. Spec, not a winter runtime test from me.
If your porch is deep shade, treat solar as a maybe until someone films your latitude — that someone is not this post.

Who it’s for / not for
For: People hunting reolink argus 4 pro no subscription who want local storage and AI without a mandatory cloud bill. Wide-driveway shoppers comparing on paper to Eufy solar.
Not for: Anyone who needs my filmed night / false-alert verdict this week. People who only buy after a porch film from me.
How this compares
The video on this page (wSYQi9NghpA) is Reolink’s intro promo, not my porch film: long-lasting battery / blind-spot-free pitch, 4K dual-stitch ~180°, easy totally wireless install, ColorX color night (promo plate read), Wi-Fi 6 “no lag no wires no worries.” I have not filmed night, false alerts, or solar drain on Argus 4 Pro myself — live Quick take already says first thoughts / public specs. Price not spoken — check the live listing.
More from me: Cams I’ve covered on the site: Does the Eufy SoloCam S220 need 3 hours of sun, Which Eufy solar camera should I buy, and Eufy vs Blink vs Wyze 2026. I didn’t run Argus 4 Pro head-to-heads against SoloCam / S340 / Blink / Wyze in my video.
What other reviewers said (their tests — not mine in my video):
- Abbas Jaffar Ali (PCMag Middle East) — calls Argus 4 Pro a high-value wire-free pick for broad driveways / gardens: seamless 180° in genuine 4K, ColorX color night without blasting LEDs all night, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, local microSD up to 512GB, no mandatory subscription; notes 15fps motion cap and missing native ONVIF/RTSP on battery Argus. PCMag Middle East: Reolink Argus 4 Pro Review
- Denis Koshelev (Root-Nation) — frames dual-lens 180° + ColorX as the breakthrough vs narrow / muddy-IR / spotlight-color cams; local microSD + on-device person/vehicle/pet AI with no subscription required for core smart alerts + history; cloud optional; solar in his box kept battery topped in sunny Edmonton (his sun — not mine). Root-Nation: Reolink Argus 4 Pro review
- Paul Moons (Digital Reviews Network) — subscription-free local / NAS / microSD path; setup under ~5 minutes; 180° street watch; ColorX in a dim street; person/vehicle/animal detection; included 6W Solar Panel 2 kept his unit up for weeks on mild settings (his install — not mine). Digital Reviews Network: Reolink Argus 4 Pro Reviewed
Beyond my video:
- Reolink’s public wording and the named reviews above say no mandatory sub for local recording / on-device AI; cloud is optional. My video doesn’t mention a subscription. Confirm current Reolink plan language before you buy.
- Solar / Solar Panel 2 (6W) / winter shade: that’s from Reolink specs and other reviewers’ sun logs, not a sun log I kept. Deep shade porch = treat solar as a maybe.
- If you need my night / alert-spam verdict, this page isn’t that — stay on the Eufy / Blink sisters.
Still look at Argus 4 Pro from this page if: you hate subscriptions and want the paper case for 4K dual-lens ~180° + ColorX + Wi-Fi 6 wire-free with local/AI no-mandatory-sub (Reolink + named reviewers) — and you’re OK that I haven’t filmed it yet. If you only buy after my porch film, use the sisters. Check the live listing for price / kit vs camera-only.
FAQ
Is the Reolink Argus 4 Pro worth it if you hate subscriptions? Promo video on this page pitches battery / wireless / 4K dual-stitch ~180° / ColorX night / Wi-Fi 6 — “no lag, no wires, no worries.” It does not say subscription. Reolink’s public wording (and the named reviews in How this compares) say local recording + on-device AI without a mandatory sub — cloud optional. I have not filmed a porch week, so I won’t lock “worth it” from my own night or alert log. If zero monthly fee is your deal-breaker, the paper case is real; confirm current Reolink wording and check the live listing.
Does the Argus 4 Pro need a subscription? Not spoken in the promo video. Reolink says no sub required for local recording and AI — confirm that wording on Reolink before you buy. Cloud is optional if you want it.
What’s in the Reolink promo video (wSYQi9NghpA)? Brand intro: long-lasting battery / blind-spot-free pitch, ultra-wide 4K, dual image stitching for 180°, easy totally wireless install, ColorX color night (they show a license plate), Wi-Fi 6 smooth streaming, “no lag no wires no worries.”
Is 4K and 180° real — or just marketing? In the promo video: dual stitching, mindblowing 180°, ultra-wide 4K, “no blind spots.” Spec sheet matches that language. I have not measured FOV or graded bitrate outdoors myself.
What about solar / battery in real weather? Promo says long-lasting battery and totally wireless — not a solar runtime or winter shade log from me. Specs list Solar Panel 2 (6W) compatibility. Named reviewers above talk their own sun installs. Deep shade = maybe until someone films your latitude.
Is it worth it vs Eufy SoloCam / S340 / Blink? Different stacks. I did not head-to-head Argus vs those in my video. For what I actually filmed, read SoloCam S220, Eufy solar lineup, and Eufy vs Blink vs Wyze.
What’s the price? Not spoken in my video. Check the live listing — prices and bundles move. Easy to overpay on a kit you don’t need.
