Why side-by-side, not specs
We’re at the Toledo Zoo shooting the GoPro Mission One Pro and the DJI Action 5 Pro. Capture a bunch of footage. Put them side by side. Nothing too complicated. I’m not going into the specs — you’ve seen those videos. Let’s see the footage.

This is the audio on the DJI Action 5 Pro. This is the built-in audio on the GoPro Mission One Pro.
Low light + 4K30 + 1-inch sensor
End of the day. Final thoughts. Talking to the Action 5 Pro — still such a good camera. Low light. Sun going down. Shadows.
Switch to the Mission 1 Pro. Again, low light. Both are 4K by 30 — I chose that to show the difference in the 1-inch sensor and how much it makes for the price gap.
Who should buy which
You don’t have to get the Mission 1 Pro. Action 5 Pro is probably plenty for a lot of content creators — especially point-and-shoot on basic settings.
If you’re a professional and you actually know the settings, yeah — get the Mission 1 Pro. Best quality out of that 1-inch sensor.
Everyday user? I’m switching back to the Action 5 Pro. Honestly any of the other action cameras — Action 6 Pro, even the Extra Edge Pro. (I wouldn’t say Extra Edge — for the price get Extra Edge Pro.)
GoPro progress — and why I’m still not buying this one
GoPro has come a long way with this updated camera. Won’t disappoint you if you struggled with overheating or GoPro quality before.
I was super excited about this camera. Personally, I don’t think this is the one for me. If I was going to buy a GoPro, I’d probably get the ALS version — the one where I can put different lenses on it.
