What I actually showed

Plugged in on the counter. Line the cover over the base — little socket inside. Candy canes first for holiday/festive events. Peanuts: blade in first, fill around the blades, pulse to fine powder, pour into a bowl. Quarter onion dropped in — five pumps, scrape. Box visible on the counter (Stack & Press 3 Cup Chopper on the box; I didn’t say those words).
Does it actually work?
Nuts. Avocados. All the other fun stuff. Works exactly how you’d hope. Fantastic job. Quickly. Nothing complicated.
Candy canes: we didn’t even do too much and it processed them right up, chunks out.
Peanuts: three pulses already cleaning them up for peanut butters or baked goods. Shake. Hold to pulverize. Let it loose so the blade can catch whole nuts still stuck. Couple of pulses. Not even a full 10 seconds — nice fine powder. Does great for the price point on this Hamilton Beach food processor.
Onion: quarter onion, practical everyday food processing. Quick work — few chunks left. I can see a whole onion, no problem. Perfect for a quick breakfast fry — eggs and onions. Don’t overdo it or you’ll emulsify / liquefy it. Five pumps. Scrape it up. Wonderful job.
How do you run it / stay safe?
Back pocket on the bowl and back nozzle on the base have to line up. Cover goes over. Little activator — push down to engage the blades. Will not activate without the blade and the cover engaged — safe right now.
When you clean, check the inside. Residuals can sit in the hollow of the blade because it’s so easy to take out and put back in. Just be aware.
Hosting people with peanut allergies? Get a separate processor that is not involved in the peanut gallery whatsoever. Don’t take chances for yourself or your loved ones.
Is it a doggone winner?
For its price point you cannot go wrong. Doggone winner. Can’t see it not being a winner in most people’s books. Affordable Hamilton Beach food processor. We love it. Works great for what it’s supposed to do. Final results: peanuts, candy canes, onions — super good job.
