Why I won’t buy that “4K portable wireless” Amazon projector again

Why I won’t buy that “4K portable wireless” Amazon projector again

Quick take

Setup alone was enough. I won’t buy this brand again on that path.

Listed as a popular “best” portable wireless. Listing showed 4K. I got 1080p. Setup took more than an hour.

Not truly wireless. Not the keep.

What I actually showed

Same portable wireless lineup. Only Capsule 3 and Capsule 3 Laser are truly wireless and super portable in that set. This Amazon contender is not one of those two.

It showed up as popular / “best.” The listing showed 4K and big brightness claims. Setup took more than an hour. Three setup steps and tools. Took forever.

I bought thinking 4K. The unit I received was 1080p. Box and device say 1080p. The cart can flip 4K to 1080p if you click a discount — could have been a me problem. Either way, what landed in my hands wasn’t the 4K story I clicked.

Closing in my video: it claims to be amazing and wireless. It definitely is not in this ranking.

The 4K listing trap

Don’t trust “4K portable wireless” on this path without reading the box. I clicked 4K energy. I unboxed 1080p.

Setup hell

More than an hour. Tools. Three steps. That alone is why I won’t buy this brand again.

Spec strip

Said on camera: listed popular / “best” · listing showed 4K + high ANSI claims · setup >1 hour · three setup steps / tools · bought for 4K · received 1080p (box + device) · cart can flip 4K→1080p on a discount · not truly wireless · won’t buy this brand again on setup alone.

Spec, not a test I ran: Exact native panel vs decode, lumen meters, and today’s price — check the live listing. Brand name on the listing is fine in the product box; I didn’t speak a brand name in my video.

Pros

  • Cheap entry if you already know it’s corded 1080p
  • Shows up high in “portable wireless” search piles
  • Forces the 4K-list vs box check before you buy
  • Useful as a what-not-to-do compare next to Capsule keep
  • Honest pass from one video
  • Not sponsored — own money

Cons

  • Setup took forever
  • Listed 4K, received 1080p
  • Not truly wireless
  • Cart discount path can flip the listing story
  • Won’t buy this brand again on setup alone
  • Wrong “wireless” buy if Capsule is the job

Who it’s for / not for

For: Almost nobody shopping true wireless portable. Maybe a corded budget buyer who already accepts 1080p and slow setup — and reads the box first.

Not for: Anyone who wants no-plug portable, fast setup, or the 4K story the listing sold. Capsule 3 keep or Capsule 3 Laser.

FAQ

Why won’t you buy that Amazon “4K portable wireless” projector again?
Setup took more than an hour. Listed 4K. I got 1080p. That’s enough.

Is it actually 4K?
The listing showed 4K. The unit I received was 1080p — box and device. The cart can flip if you click a discount. Could’ve been a me problem — still not the 4K story I clicked.

Is it truly wireless?
No. In this lineup only Capsule 3 and Capsule 3 Laser are.

How bad was setup?
More than an hour. Three steps and tools. Took forever. That alone is why I won’t buy this brand again on that path.

What about the big brightness claims?
The listing pushed huge ANSI numbers (spoken as about 1000). I didn’t run a lab meter — the setup and 4K-vs-box story were already enough.

What should I buy instead?
True wireless keep: Capsule 3. Brighter yard portable: Capsule 3 Laser. Start with the hub ranking.

What did you pay?
I didn’t lock a dollar in my video for this one. Check the live listing.

Sponsored?
No. Own money. Own products.
