If you live with kids, pets, or a house that’s a little off the beaten path, “best tech 2026” lists written in a lab don’t help. This is what we actually use around our place, plus a few 2026 picks sitting in the shop that match how we buy: no surprise subscriptions if we can avoid them, stuff that survives weather, and kitchen gadgets we’ll still be using in March.
Affiliate disclaimer: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Some links go to my Amazon shop (OhanaReviews / Kelii316). It does not cost you extra.
How this list is built
Three buckets only, because that’s what our shop already sells:
- Security cameras
- Kitchen / home appliances
- Bluetooth speakers and headphones
If it isn’t in one of those, it’s not here. No robot vacuums I haven’t run. No “47 gadgets under $50.”
Security cameras (the no-fee lane)
We run cameras on a rural property. Deer, weather, and bad Wi-Fi are the test. Full write-up: https://ohanareviewsblog.com/best-wireless-outdoor-security-cameras-under-100-2025/ — a 2026 refresh is next.
Eufy SoloCam S220 — still the family default
Solar, local storage, no monthly bill. This was one of the first units I put up and it is still running. Night vision is the weak spot. If you hate subscriptions, start here.

Blink Outdoor 4 (3-cam) — if you already live in Alexa
Setup took about 10 minutes on the garage and driveway. The 3-pack under $100 is the value. Budget for Blink’s subscription if you want the features that actually matter.

Skip unless you read the fine print
Wyze Cam OG is cheap and fast, but it is not a true wireless outdoor cam without extra power. I missed that on Amazon the first time. Don’t gift it as an “outdoor camera.”
Kitchen (Ninja is the brand that actually converts)
Ninja Creami Swirl
We put this on the counter and lived with the noise, the 24-hour freeze, and the cleanup. Full review: https://ohanareviewsblog.com/ninja-creami-swirl-review-is-this-the-soft-serve-game-changer/
If you’re buying for a family, the Deluxe (bigger tub) is usually the better gift. Swirl is for the handle / soft-serve trick. I’ll publish Swirl vs Deluxe vs Original next. Until then, gift the one you’ll actually fill with leftovers.

Speakers (the shop has them, the blog is catching up)
I have not published a full 2026 speaker roundup yet. Until then, the honest version: the Bluetooth Speakers and Headphones list on https://www.amazon.com/shop/kelii316 is where those products live. For a backyard / kitchen family speaker, the 2026 value conversation is Soundcore Boom 2 vs JBL Charge 6. Party / karaoke money is Soundcore Rave 3S vs JBL PartyBox.
Don’t buy a party speaker from a 12-item “best Bluetooth 2026” post that never turned one on outside.
What I’m not putting on this list
- The Eufy S4 Max, until it’s installed and recorded, not researched.
- DJI Osmo 360. Fun. Not a family gift.
- Anything that only works if you pay a cloud tax every month, unless I say so in the same sentence.

This page will get the 2026 camera roundup, Creami vs Deluxe, and the Boom 2 vs Charge 6 post wired in as they go live.
