Quick take
Maybe, if you want a dual-lens 4K pan-tilt outdoor cam with SolarPlus 2.0 and you’re shopping on Edge announce specs. Official MSRP is $229.99 per camera. Kits exist at higher bundle prices. The real win on paper is 4K dual-lens PT, OmniTrack-style tracking claims, and a 5W solar panel in the Edge story. The real limit is I have not mounted an E50, and there is a different PoE “E50” that is not this product. First impressions only.

Product box
eufy SoloCam E50 (wireless dual-lens 4K pan-tilt outdoor cam — not PoE Bullet-PTZ Cam E50)
MSRP $229.99 per camera per Anker’s Edge 5.0 press. Kits exist (2-cam and HomeBase bundles). Price moves, so check the live listing.

What I actually know right now
I have not installed SoloCam E50. There is no KeliiDiscovers footage for this SKU. Everything below comes from Anker’s Edge 5.0 press (Sep 25, 2026), the eufy Edge hub, and live US kit product pages — unless I say otherwise.
Hard disambiguation: SoloCam E50 (this page) is not the PoE Bullet-PTZ Cam E50. Different product. Don’t buy the wired PoE SKU thinking it’s this solar/wireless SoloCam.

Picture and tracking (on paper)
Official copy claims dual-lens 4K pan-tilt, 12× hybrid zoom, and face/plate readable around 40 ft on kit pages. OmniTrack AI tracking and auto-framing are in the kit marketing, with 360° rotation and about 70° tilt. Spec, not a test I ran.
Solar, detection, weather
Edge / kit copy lists 5W SolarPlus 2.0, radar + PIR dual detection, motion spotlight, siren, two-way audio, and IP65. Spec, not a test I ran.
Standalone vs HomeBase
Kit FAQ language: works standalone with local microSD (up to 512 GB, not included). No 24/7 recording on that FAQ path. Spec, not a test I ran.
Better with HomeBase S380 in eufy’s framing: BionicMind / family vs stranger, larger storage, cross-cam features. Edge press still sells the whole yard system through HomeBase S380 and local-first storage with no monthly fee for core local features.
Kits and price
Lead price is $229.99 for a single cam (EIN + kit choosers). Multi-cam kits are priced separately on eufy.com (for example, a 2-Cam Kit around $449.99 on the e81801w6 page at research fetch; HomeBase kits cost more). I’m not inventing kit ASINs. Check the live kit page you actually want.
Availability: EIN says late October. Edge hub was already in pre-order “arrives this October” framing on announce day.

How this compares
I have not filmed SoloCam E50. If you’re choosing buy S340 now vs wait for E50, start here: eufy SoloCam S340 vs E50 (filmed S340 gripes + E50 on paper — not an E50 hands-on).
For more SoloCam / solar outdoor context we already cover, see eufy SoloCam S220, the E30 / E42 / S340 / S4 solar lineup, and why I sent the eufy S3 Pro back. Those pages are not an E50 hands-on.

Pros and cons

- Dual-lens 4K pan-tilt pitch at a clear single-cam MSRP
- 5W SolarPlus 2.0 in the Edge / kit story
- Radar + PIR plus spotlight and siren claims
- Works standalone on microSD; optional HomeBase S380 unlocks
- Kit options if you want a multi-cam yard in one cart

Cons (so far)
- Late October ship window — not a “ships tomorrow” buy for everyone
- No 24/7 recording on the standalone FAQ path
- Easy SKU confusion with PoE Cam E50
- Kit pricing and choosers are easy to misread if you only want one cam
- No independent long-term battery / night / zoom reliability picture yet

- Anyone who needs proven night / zoom / battery results from me today

FAQ
How much is the eufy SoloCam E50?
$229.99 per camera per Edge press. Kits cost more. Check the live listing.
When does SoloCam E50 ship?
EIN says late October. Edge pre-order messaging was live on announce day. Check the live kit page.
Does SoloCam E50 need a HomeBase?
No for basic standalone use with microSD, per kit FAQ. HomeBase S380 unlocks more AI and storage features in eufy’s framing.
Is SoloCam E50 the same as PoE Cam E50?
No. Different SKUs. This page is the wireless SoloCam E50.
Is there a SoloCam E50 review yet?
Not from me. Empty review intent in search is why this is a first-impressions post, not a keep/return verdict.
Should I buy the single cam or a kit?
Buy single if you only need one perimeter cam at $229.99 MSRP. Buy a kit if you want multi-cam or HomeBase S380 in one cart — and read the live kit page so you don’t invent an ASIN.
Close
That’s the Edge announce picture for SoloCam E50. I’ll write a real mount post if I get one on a wall. Until then, for SoloCam / solar outdoor context we already cover, start with SoloCam S220 or the E30 / E42 / S340 / S4 lineup.
