Quick take
First thoughts only. I have not set up an AURA 3 Max or Pro. This is from XGIMI’s IFA 2026 announce and public specs — not a living-room brightness test from me.
Worth watching if you want an ultra-short-throw laser TV with 4K 120Hz on paper and you already live in the UST lane.
Real win on paper: world’s-first 4K 120Hz UST series claim, Dynamic Dual Iris, RGB triple laser, Max up to 5700 ISO lumens / Pro 4100, Google TV, 80W Harman Kardon + Atmos.
Real limit: Kickstarter launch October 20; $50 deposit unlocks early pricing. I cannot grade throw, daylight washout, or gaming lag until one is in the room.

XGIMI announce footage (not a KeliiDiscovers filmed review).
What was announced
XGIMI called AURA 3 Max and AURA 3 Pro the world’s first 4K 120Hz UST projector lineup. Spec / brand claim — not a panel meter I ran.
UST pitch: projects a 120-inch image about 8 inches from the wall (Max materials). Throw ratio 0.163:1. Up to 200-inch class in brand language. Spec, not a tape measure I ran.
Dynamic Dual Iris (two dynamically controlled apertures) for blacks/contrast. RGB triple laser. X-VISION AI Image Processor. Spec / brand — not my contrast log.
Brightness (brand ISO): Max up to 5700 ISO lumens · Pro up to 4100 ISO lumens. Native contrast claims: Max 8000:1 · Pro 7000:1. Spec, not a lab I ran.
Formats: Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode. Anti-RBE for 2D and 3D. Cinematic 3D with two pairs of glasses included (brand).
Gaming: true 4K 120Hz with VRR and ALLM (brand).
Audio: 80W Harman Kardon with Dolby Atmos. Built-in Google TV. WALL app for art when idle.
Max vs Pro
Same core platform. Max is the brighter / higher-contrast paper pick (5700 ISO / 8000:1). Pro is the lower brightness / contrast tier (4100 ISO / 7000:1) at a lower Kickstarter exclusive start.
I have not A/B’d them. Pick Max if you want the top brightness claim; Pro if budget is the gate.

Deposit and Kickstarter window
XGIMI: Kickstarter launch October 20. Exclusive pre-orders / $50 deposit path was open at announce — unlocks extra $200 off language and a launch email. Kickstarter exclusive pricing called out: Max $2,399 · Pro $2,199. Site deposit pages also showed Super Early Bird / MSRP tables that move — verify live on XGIMI. Deposit called refundable in brand materials.

Who it’s for / not for
For: UST shoppers hunting xgimi aura 3 / 4K 120Hz laser TV. Gamers who want 120Hz + VRR on a wall. People already comparing Nebula / other living-room projectors on the sister hub.
Not for: Anyone who needs my filmed brightness week. Portable bedroom projector shoppers. Folks who will not touch Kickstarter deposits.

No. First thoughts from IFA announce and public specs only.
