I unboxed a tall white Morento air purifier on the kitchen counter. Grey slatted top. Black display on the front. Then I ran it on the tile.
This is the HY4866.
What did I actually do with the Morento HY4866?
In the box: a white barrel-jack power cable. User manual. Warranty card.
Two rectangular HEPA filters. Black frames. Pull tabs. One behind the front intake, one behind the back. Two filters for double the filtration and twice as much air flow.
One solid filter. A HEPA filter. You’ll have to order these unique filters on Amazon.
Filter install: no struggle whatsoever. Very easy.
Power port on the bottom-right edge. PM2.5 sensor in a small hatch on the upper back.
Four fan levels. I ran them. Four is pretty darn loud.
Air blows out the top. It sucks air in from the front and the back.
Sleep mode gets a bit quieter. Not nearly as loud.
Timers: two hour. Five hour. Eight hour. Lock function so you don’t accidentally switch it.
Auto mode that adjusts to air quality.
The air quality meter. Excellent. Mild pollution. Heavy pollution. I called that a great positive.
Then the smoke demo. I struck a match near the back sensor. The display jumped. Red ring. Fan cranked right up. It quickly recognized there was smoke. Quickly filtering it. Filtering it right out. Reading came back down. Green ring.
Is the Morento HY4866 too loud to sleep with?
Level 4 is pretty darn loud. Sleep is quieter. Not nearly as loud.
That’s the one I ran. Two HEPAs. Auto. An air quality meter. A match at the sensor.
